During powder flame spraying, the powder-like spray additive is melted/fused in an oxygen/acetylene flame.
With the help of the expanding combustion gases, the spray additive is flung onto the workpiece.
During solidifying, the particles adhere firmly to the surface and form layers up to several millimetres thick.
In order to accelerate the powder particles, an additional gas can be used, for example argon or nitrogen.
In the case of powders with far more than 100 materials, the variety of spray additives is very wide ranging.
PFS is used, for example, for shaft protection sleeves, roller table rolls, bearing seats, fans and rotors of extruder screws.
Discover the advantages of inexpensive and economical power flame spraying.
Our PFS experts will be pleased to answer all your questions on the topic.
