Erich-Fired-Schule wins the German Climate Award of the Allianz environmental protection foundation 2019

After the second win in a row at the Gladbeck Environmental Award, unprecedented in its 31-year history, the Erich-Fried-Schule was able to celebrate another great success at the end of February. The project "With fun and joy in the transition form school to work", looked after by Walter Hüßhoff, which is also supported by RS Rittel GmbH, was awarded the 10000€ prize by the Allianz environmental protection foundation.

Out of 100 teams with a total of over 6,000 active students, the project made it to the final round of the top 20 entries. On 27 February, the jury selected the Erich-Fried-Schule for the "Developmentand Construction of a School Energy Garden" as one of five winners. RS Rittel congratulates not only on winning the environmental prize, but also on achieving the second important goal of the project: the successful placement of the participating students in apprenticeships or secondary schools.

The project is also supported in this area by RS Rittel, so far three former participants at RS Rittel have been able to start their training as machining mechanics.

One of those also had the privilege of participating in a trailer about the project and the school for the award ceremony on 17 May 2019.
